Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose. On Friday evening the lights at Trojan Field and in the STCHS gymnasium were turned on for fans to get a glimpse of the upcoming fall sports season.

The annual Trojan Bowl began at 5 p.m. on Friday evening with a look at the STC volleyball team. The team is under new leadership including head coach, Sam Cantonwine, assistant, Sarah Weiermann and freshman coach Leah Fonua. Weiermann has been with the program for the past couple of seasons but Cantowine and Fonua are both in their first season.

Their first competition will be this week when they travel to Grinnell on Thursday evening for a non-conference season opener against the Tigers.

Following the volleyball scrimmage the STC freshman and varsity football teams took to the field. Fans got a glimpse of the new pre-game show which includes the STC Marching band, football cheerleaders and the team of course.

A new treat for those who came to watch was the Trojans welcoming the East Marshall Mustang football team for the scrimmage. This is the first time that STC has scrimmaged another team during the Trojan Bowl. No time, quarters or score were kept. Each team got the opportunity to run a set number of plays on both offense and defense.

The Trojans will be traveling to Benton for their season opener this Friday evening.
