In week six South Tama came up against the powerhouse that is the Pella Dutch. While not as strong as they have been in the past, the Dutch are still ranked 10th in the State by BC Moore Rankings. They were 3-2 entering week six and finished the night 4-2 after handily defeating the Trojans 63-12.

Friday was a tall order as the Trojans faced a well staffed Pella roster. Pella also had at least 11 coaches on the sidelines. But STC stepped onto the field, rising to the occasion.

The Trojans scored two touchdowns. The first score came off a six yard pass from quarterback Brayden Smith to Payton Vest. It was Smith's first varsity passing touchdown and Vest's first receiving touchdown of the season. The score came after Smith connected with wideout Gavin Jimenez with a flea flicker play. Jimenez recorded 122 yards in three receptions, a career high performance. The play set up a four yard touchdown reception from Smith to Matt Weise for the Trojans second touchdown.

Unfortunately the Trojans were unable to stop the offensive attack of the Dutch. When Pella's quarterback Ryan Mace wasn't airing it out for 254 yards the Dutch's ground game went to work. Between Nolan Clayberg, Nick DeJong, Nick Grandia, Mace, Cael Morgan and Aiden Pollock the Dutch recorded 168 rushing yards. The combination of Mace's passing efforts and the Dutch's ground game proved to be unstoppable for the Trojans.

Brady Knode and Aaron Neave lead the Trojans in tackles with five each.

The Trojans will be on the road to Knoxville (4-2) tonight.
