Record breaking normal!

January 18, 2020
By Pastor Mike Nodland - Vining Christian Fellowship Church , Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

When our children were growing up, we played a car game of oxymoronslike "widely scattered darkness" and "heated ice." Or how 'bout the claim: "Intelligence experts say"?

How about signs that don't make sense? While living in Kansas, our local post office had a sign at one of its drives. It was a stop sign onto a major street which had an additional sign on the same post which read, "Do Not Enter." Why would you post two opposing signs on the same post? I took a picture of it just before the city change the signs. Recently, an Iowa City fast food restaurant posted a sign promoting their "Mael Deals!" I decided to eat elsewhere!

And "Recent statistics prove" My wife has enjoyed drinking tea. But in a doctor's visit, we saw a sign which read, "Recent statistics proved that tea drinking could actually cause" So, she stopped drinking tea. Yet, a news item recently reported that statistics proved you could add more than a year to your life by drinking any kind of tea.
