Keagan Dobbs

Keagan Dobbs, 16, of Tama, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 31, 2020, at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Dennis Conway as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 4 -7 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church with a Vigil Service following at 7:00 PM.

Keagan was born on October 20, 2003, in Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of Shannon Zigler.

She attended South Tama County High School. Keagan loved kids and had a very special bond with her godson, Kasen Lentz. They had recently gotten baptized together. Keagan had started making blankets for the children's hospital. Her favorite Christmas show was "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". Keagan's dream was to write a book about her experiences living with cancer. She was loved by many because of her positive attitude, her warm smile and her sassy wit.

Survivors include her mother, Shannon Dobbs of Tama; her siblings, Kailyn (Nicole) Struve of Chelsea, Kelbie Struve of IL, Kaisha Wanatee of Tama, Kenzen Dobbs of Tama, Eli Dobbs of Marshalltown, and James Dobbs of New York; her grandparents, Gary and Patty Zigler of Tama; uncles, Shain Zigler, and Shace (Diego) Zigler; aunt, Sharissa (Prentiss) Wolf; and nephew, Kaisyn Struve.

She was preceded in death by her uncle, Shawn Zigler; and cousin, Kyaus Davenport.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
