Mary Ann Schultz, 86, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Pastor Dr. John Christianson officiating. Interment will follow at the Sheridan Cemetery in rural Malcom. Visitation will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 from 5-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.

Mary was born on July 31, 1933, in Tama, Iowa, the daughter of Oscar and Florence (Shuler) Anderson.

She graduated from Tama High School in 1950.

On February 2, 1954, she was united in marriage to Henry Schultz at the Sheridan United Methodist Church in rural Malcom, Iowa. Mary had several jobs throughout the community over the years. She was a member of Living Faith United Methodist Church in Tama where she was active in the UMW and served on different committees. Mary was famous for her cinnamon rolls and cookies. She liked following the Iowa Hawkeye sports. Mary enjoyed taking care of her flowers, garden and attending her grandchildren's activities.

Survivors include five daughters, Gail (Terry) Nelson of Estherville, Karen (Keith) Loger of Stacy, MN, Joni (Tomm) Mitchel of Castle Rock, CO, Julee (Scott) Mathes of Tama, and Sally (Mike) Wedmore of Tama; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Graff of Tama; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Henry on November 20, 1994; one granddaughter, Claire Wedmore; and one brother, Edward.

Memorials may be directed to the Tama County Humane Society or Living Faith United Methodist Church in Tama.
