Donna Jean Kremenak

Donna Jean Kremenak, 88, of Tama, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 100 W. State Street, Toledo. Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 from 5-7 PM at the First Presbyterian Church.

Donna was born on September 7, 1931, in Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of William and Edna (Baustain) Plum.

She graduated from Tama High School in 1948.

On November 27, 1948, she married Albert Kremenak in Austin, Minnesota. They later divorced. Donna was a housewife and worked for Tama Meat Packing for nineteen years and also at King Tower. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Toledo and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. Donna was a former leader for the Campfire Girls. She enjoyed gardening, Bingo, camping and spending time in the sun. She loved being a Grandma and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Diana Spooner of Lake Barrington, IL, and Jill (Kenny) Bacon of Tama; three grandchildren, Stacey Fay, Sally Spooner, and Madeline Bacon; three great-grandchildren, Zoey and Macy Chilcote, and Tanner Fay; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one granddaughter, Polly Jane Spooner; eleven brothers, Reynolds, Walter, Bill, Raymond, Lester, Marion, John, Jim, Kenny, Max and Milo Plum; and three sisters, Lois Walters, Dorothy Plum, and Judy Vondracek.

Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church in Toledo.

Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
