Brian Sokol earns CFP certification

John Kavalier, President, State Bank of Toledo is pleased to announce that Brian Sokol has earned the Certified Financial Planner certification. Brian is a Financial Advisor for Tama County Investment Services, brokerage service offered at the State Bank of Toledo.
These marks identify those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP Certification Examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning. CFP certificants also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Rules of Conduct and Financial Planning Practice Standards.
CFP Board is a nonprofit certification organization with a mission to benefit the public by granting the CFP certification and upholding it as the recognized standard of excellence for personal financial planning. CFP Board owns the certification marks CFP, Certified Financial Planner and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete initial and ongoing certification requirements. .
Sokol’s office is located in the South Branch of State Bank of Toledo at 1003 South County Road, Toledo. His office hours are from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday and at other times by appointment. He is fully licensed and available to assist customers in the purchase of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, life insurance, unit investment trusts and exchange traded funds.
Brian Sokol is a 2005 graduate of South Tama County Community Schools. He received his BA from the University of Northern Iowa in Financial Management and Real Estate in May 2009. He and his wife Cassie live in Toledo. They have one son, Keidyn, age five.
