STC Adopt-a-Family Committee is here to help

STC Adopt-A-Family “Wishmas Trees” have been decorated with Christmas gift requests for those less fortunate from our community. Please stop in, pick a tag from the tree, and make someone’s holiday brighter. Committee member Cynthia Roth is pictured with trees located at Fareway Store with Assistant Manager Nathan Gunsaulus and at Dollar Fresh (next photo) with employee Gwen Wathan. Other trees are located at Medicap Pharmacy and State Farm Insurance Office. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO

The Christmas season is coming with all the excitement, anticipation and opportunities to share your blessings with others. The STC Adopt-A-Family committee is here to help. Everyone “adopted” is from the S.T.C. School district, so you really are helping your neighbor. This is a wonderful opportunity to share as you can with those who currently have little by:

Adopting an individual or an entire family and purchasing gifts for them. “Wishmas Trees” with name tags (each coded for confidentiality) and gift suggestions are located at the State Farm Insurance office at 101 S. County Road (intersection of High St. and Hwy 63), Medicap Pharmacy at 108 2nd Ave., Fareway Grocery at 1005 S. County Rd and Dollar Fresh at 1006 S. County Rd.

Purchasing food certificates for the holiday meals.

Cash donation for the purchase of gifts or food certificates. Checks may be made payable to “STC Adopt-A-Family.”

The purchased gifts, food certificates and cash donations need to be delivered to Medicap Pharmacy, State Farm Insurance or the State Bank of Toledo by Friday, December 9th for distribution on the 22nd. The goal is for each individual to receive a gift and for each family to receive a food certificate.
