Holiday Parade of Homes – Schlabaugh Family
During the community holiday celebration held on Saturday, Nov. 20, Kids Corner Daycare organized a Parade of Homes event to help get the people in the holiday spirit. Over the next few weeks the News Chronicle will feature photos from all three homes that were part of the tour. The event was brought back in 2018 as a fundraiser for the daycare and returned in 2021 following a hiatus in 2020 due to the pandemic. On the day of the event organizers said ticket sales had progressed well, though participation from homeowners was not yet back to where it was in 2019.
Schlabaugh Home
Out of the three homes featured in the Parade of Homes this year, the only one to represent Tama was that of the Schlabaugh Family. Clint and Jenny Schlabaugh’s home on W 9th Street was decorated with a cozy aesthetic with heirloom pieces working along with modern decor to bring Christmas past and present together. The Schlabaughs had several trees decorated with different themes in their two-story home that features a picturesque view of the Tama-Toledo Country Club golf course out the back window. The couple live with their two children Luke and Paige.
