Daniel Wiesse (Junior) Position: Guard “I love my coaches. Peska and Doran, they’re great. We’ve got some new teammates. Ivan Alvarado is a great player. Pelle Weiss can shoot the ball. We’ve got a good team this year. I think we can win some games this year and do some damage. WaMaC is a tough conference to compete in, but I think we got some winnable games this year." Ivan Alvarado (Senior) Position: Guard “I love the coaches. They make me feel at home. I feel like I fit in really well with the team. My goal is just to win and get colleges to look at me. I know we’re a new team and we’re going to have a rocky start. We’re just getting used to each other, but as the season goes on I think we’ll be alright.” Photo by Vanessa Roudabush.
Jeramy Dolash (Junior) Position: Forward “We have a lot of good players on the team. There’s still a lot of room for improvement and our coaches are doing their best to help us win. All my teammates are really cool dudes, the coaches too. I feel confident we can win more games. We’ve had a rough start but that doesn’t define the rest of our season.” Photo by Vanessa Roudabush.
Jose Placencia (Junior) Team Manager “The team is improving a lot. The coaches are hard on them, but it’s because they want to see them improve. The first few games were pretty disappointing, but we got a lot more time in the season, so we can straighten things out. I just want to see them qualify for state. That would be a dream. Go Trojans!” Photo by Vanessa Roudabush.
Kingston Davenport (Sophomore) Position: Guard “This is a new team, a lot of transfers and I’m one of them. We’ve got to get used to the team. Play more aggressive [and] more defense. It’s going pretty well so far, two losses but we’re still pushing ourselves. We still want to win. We’re still fighting. Score. Get buckets. Rebound. Play defense.” Photo by Vanessa Roudabush.
Pelle Weiss (Senior) Position: Forward “I love my teammates. They feel like a family. The coach is great [and] gives a lot of trust in me. I’m a foreign exchange student from Germany. This is my first year in the U.S. [and] first time starting [on the court]. I’m going to do whatever to help my team get the W.” Photo by Vanessa Roudabush.
