The council accepted the resignation of Erin Gumm from the Toledo Library Board.
Public Works director Kendall Jordan reported that the Juvenile Home demolition is nearing completion. One of the newer city works trucks is in the shop due to an electrical issue. Tama Public Works is helping out in Toledo with street sweeping.
The city clerk reported that some grants were received for swing sets and the police department.
Toledo Police Chief Dan Quigley reported that the police department responded to 140 calls for service between March 27 and April 9. Five arrests were made, and two vehicle pursuits were had, and the suspect threw a firearm, which has since been recovered, out the window during the second one.
The police department was invited to the Birkwook Easter brunch. The Durango is back in the shop, and nuisance abatements are being processed and served. Chief Quigley attended an inspection of the Hotel Toledo.
The council went into closed session before adjourning.
