Meskwaki Media Services is pleased to announce that they will be awarded by the Native American Journalists Association at the 2023 National Native Media Awards to be held next month.
The annual competition recognizes excellence in reporting by Native and non-Native journalists across the US and Canada. NAJA received more than 800 entries this year. Winning in the Professional Division for circulations of less than 5,000, Media Services reports the association recognizes members’ coverage of Indian Country by votes from its judges. Judges include members from the American Professional Journalist Association, prestigious universities including Oklahoma State, Idaho, Ohio, Haskell, Arizona State and Colorado, as well as local and national news outlets, national print media, public radio and others.
