Chatting the meeting away
This week’s Tama County supervisors meeting
This Monday’s supervisors meeting was nearly sidelined by good conversation. The supervisors and the public were chatting along so nicely that they didn’t see the clock telling them to start the meeting. Snow was the subject reported on by the engineer, as they have been working on it on all sides.
HR showed the supervisors the Health Fund, which currently has more than $2 million within it. The health fund is at its most robust in recent years and will be paying for stroke screening, first aid training and CPR training.
The supervisors set the Drainage Election canvass for Monday, Feb. 5 at 8:30 a.m.
Before the end of the meeting, the supervisors held the first of three public hearings for the new precincts. There were no public comments, other than saying thanks to those who helped set the new precincts. Claims totaling $123,593.32 were approved.
