Ditch work and cropland leases

This week’s Tama County Supervisors Meeting

TOLEDO – On Monday morning, as the fall breeze rattled the trees, the usual group of attendees got together for this week’s board of supervisors meeting. Starting off like usual, County Engineer Ben Daleske reported that Denco is coming to town this week to do some work on E36 and K Avenue west of Clutier. Culvert and ditch work will be done, and they will also be retrieving shoulders. The bridge on V Avenue will be worked on as well.

Emma Peebles was back once again, this time to acquire a tax sale property in Chelsea.

County cropland and pasture leases expired in March, so the supervisors approved sending a letter to the current tenants asking if they wish to extend their lease another year.

Claims totaling $759,512.41 were approved.
