Appointment for 2025
This Week’s Tama City Council Meeting
TAMA – As the sun set, the usual crowd got together for this week’s Tama City Council meeting. The first agenda item was a home on Harding Street which had a sewer backup in their basement. The issue was likely caused by the main line, so the council approved that the homeowner’s repair and cleanup bills would be turned in to the city which would then be sent to the insurance company.
Next up was the approval for the visioning committee to apply for grants to collect the $150,000 needed as a match for a grant already received for the Safe Routes to School project. The grant already received is for approximately $600,00.
The quarterly 10% EMS transfer for approximately $19,000 was approved.
The council approved giving pay to EMS officers.
Flooring replacement and painting were approved to be done in the EMS barracks.
