At Monday’s board meeting, the transfers of Ben Adams and Scott Bolen were made official. From the current Middle School Principal and Assistant Principal, Adams and Bolen will fill these same roles at the high school beginning next school year.

Chelsea Ahrens was approved to move from high school activity director to 7-12 activity director.

Ahrens was present at the meeting and gave the board an update on high school activities. As a part of her update, it was shared that STC has been officially denied from re-entering the NICL conference. Ahrens gave two other suggestions for conferences, those being the Iowa Alliance or South Iowa Cedar. The process is ongoing, and for the time being STC will remain in the WaMaC Conference.

With a light agenda compared to many in the last few school years, the board voted to adjourn at 5:52, with board president Elizabeth Dolezal exclaiming “Under an hour!”

The next board meeting is slated for Feb. 10.
