The supervisors started off with a quick, time-sensitive, motion and approval on Monday morning. First up, before much else, the supervisors approved withdrawing from the opioid PBM litigation. Counties with 50,000 or less in population are withdrawing from the lawsuit to streamline the process.

The Tama County Engineer reported that they have finished contract rock hauling and have put down 17,500 tons of rock on gravel roads. Next up, they will be rocking 245th St. west of Clutier. For culvert projects, the first up is a wooden box culvert on 200th St. East of K Ave, after that is a culvert on N Ave just North of E29.

The supervisors signed and approved the final plans for the E66 project which is to pave E66 from Highway 30 to Highway 21.

They also approved two utility permits.

A public hearing for the FY26 budget was set for April 21st at 8:45 am.

The supervisors approved allowing representatives from Aflac and Liberty National to present their companies to employees.

Lucky Wife Wine Slushies was approved for a temporary liquor license.

Fox Ridge Winery was approved for a liquor license.

Doug Sienknecht was re-appointed to the Veterans Affairs Commission.

Paul McCoy and Jay Owens were appointed to the EMS Advisory Council.

Claims totaling $163,425.82 were approved.
