GRINNELL — The Poweshiek County Democrats will host a public forum featuring three Democratic members of the Iowa House of Representatives on Thursday, April 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Drake Community Library in Grinnell.
Representatives Adam Zabner (D-Iowa City), Elinor Levin (D-Iowa City), and Lindsay James (D-Dubuque) will join local residents to discuss their work in the Iowa State House and answer questions about the legislative session, key policy issues, and the future of Iowa.
“This is a unique opportunity for Iowans to hear directly from their state lawmakers about the challenges and opportunities facing our communities,” John Grennan, chair of the Poweshiek County Democrats, said. “We are proud to welcome these dynamic representatives to Grinnell and encourage folks from across the area to attend.”
The forum will include brief introductions from each representative, followed by a moderated Q&A with questions from the audience. Topics may include education, healthcare, reproductive rights, agriculture, and efforts to protect democracy in Iowa.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Tommy Hexter at tommyhexter@gmail.com.
