The memorial also includes sections for those from Grundy, Hardin, Marshall and Tama counties. It is located on the grounds of the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.

The Times-Republican and Tama-Grundy Publishing are seeking information on 32 area men listed as casualties during the Vietnam War. This information will be used to supplement each man’s brief military biography as part of a series of articles beginning April 30 in the T-R and affiliated publications. April 30 is the 50th anniversary marking the end of the Vietnam War. The series will acknowledge the ultimate sacrifice made by these men (No women service members were identified as casualties).
