Evelyn L. Ryan

Evelyn L. Ryan, 84, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center following a lingering illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 at, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Chelsea by Deacon Joe Behounek. Burial will be in Rector Cemetery, Chelsea. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m Wednesday at the church where there will be a Rosary at 6:45. Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond; daughters, Susan (Randy) Smith and Laurie (Donald), both of Chelsea; sons, Patrick (Taddi) Ryan of Toledo, Kevin Ryan of Chelsea, Matthew (Christina) Ryan of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Florence (Leonard) Balvin of Chelsea, Verna (Warren) Brush of Quincy, IL; brother, Roger Kalinay of Pierre, SD; sisters-in-law, Elsie Kalinay of Brooklyn and Dorothy Kalinay of Van Horne; also fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
