Valerie Johnson

Valarie Johnson was born Sept., 28, 1961 in Marshalltown, IA. She died of heart failure Sunday, March 1st, 2015 in Hanibal, MO where she had made her home for many years.

Valarie graduated from Marshalltown Community College as a Surgical Technician. She graduated with a 4.0 gpa and honor cord. In 1995 Valarie met the love of her life, Steven Heidbreder and they have been together ever since.

Valarie is survived by one daughter, Angel Ford.

Valarie had two grandbabies, Missy Smith and Steven Zahn. Her grandchildren were her life’s fulfillment and brought her endless joy. She said they were her gifts from God.

Valarie also had endless love and gratitude for her parents, Ron and Jan Smith. They were her greatest strength during a very difficult time in her life but their love and caring ways flowered the path.

Valarie also leaves behind her brothers and sisters: Rodney Smith, Rhonda Unruh, Angie Branan, Kim Curl-Harmier, Chad Curl and Tina Drigci and her birth mother, Linda Driscoll. She leaves many dear friends.
