Charlene Kay Rosenfelder
Charlene Kay Rosenfelder, 64, of Tama, died Thursday, April 5, 2018 from injuries suffered in a traffic accident on Hwy 30 in Tama County. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Living Faith United Methodist Church in Tama with Pastor Brian Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. A Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, April 13, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Living Faith United Methodist Church.
Charlene was born on September 17, 1953, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Charles Andrew and Voda Mae (Weaver) Weir.
She graduated from South Tama High School in 1971 and attended Central College in Pella for three years.
On August 6, 1976, she was united in marriage to Randell Rosenfelder at the Tama Methodist Church. Charlene was a Teacher’s Associate at the South Tama School District for many years at the Elementary level. She was a member of Living Faith United Methodist Church in Tama and the Tama-Toledo Country Club. Charlene enjoyed flowers, decorating, golfing, and she loved her cats. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of forty-one years, Randell of Tama; one daughter, Jennifer (Clint) Schlabaugh of Toledo; two grandchildren, Luke Randell and Paige Emma Schlabaugh; one sister, Joleen ( Mike) Doyle of Grinnell; two brothers, Bruce (Jackie) Weir of Marietta, and Rodney (Angela) Weir of Ackley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial fund has been established.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
