Cynthia Ann Morgan, “Na-Na-Wa-Tti, 80, of Tama, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Meskwaki Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement with Michael Keahna as Speaker. A Traditional Wake will be held Monday evening, May 28th at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.
Cynthia was born on August 23, 1937, in Toledo, IA, the daughter of Eva Blackcloud and Thomas Milo Scott.
Cynthia was a homemaker and had also previously worked at Rockwell-Collins in Cedar Rapids and Delong’s in Grinnell.
On December 20, 1969, she was united in marriage to Leo Morgan in Tama, IA. He passed away in 2013.
Cynthia was a big fan of The Young and the Restless and enjoyed puzzles and reading the newspaper.
Survivors include her children; Rose Wanatee, Natalie Wanatee and Brandon Wanatee Sr. all of Tama, Clyde Wanatee of Albuquerque, NM, LeAnn Morgan, Leland Morgan and Linda Morgan all of Tama, her grandchildren; Shayna Wanatee, Joseph Thompson, Jordan Thompson, Daevon Morgan, Bradley Wanatee, Zachary Wanatee, Courtney Wanatee and Brandon Wanatee, great-grandchildren; Bralan Thompson, Kiali Thompson, Leo Thompson and Evangeline Wanatee, sisters; Elizabeth Roberts and Georgia Sanache, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; sisters, Vivian Docena, Aurelia Morgan and Marge Creapeau.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.
