Linda Dianne Black Moore, 75
Linda Dianne Black Moore, 75, of Toledo and Greenville, NC, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama under the care of Hospice of the Midwest. It was Linda’s wish to be cremated and there will be a memorial gathering followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo at a future date.
Linda was born on July 5, 1947, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of James and Betty Jean (Potter) Black.
She graduated from South Tama High School in 1965 and then York University in York, Nebraska.
On June 2, 1990, she married Kenneth Moore in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He preceded her in death. Over the years, Linda worked various computer programming jobs. She was a member of the Waterville Church of Christ in Greenville, NC until she moved back to Tama-Toledo six years ago. Linda was her mother’s caretaker up until her passing.
Survivors include one son, Andrew Evans, of Nashville, NC; one grandson, Caleb Evans, of Dallas, TX; her sisters, Barbara (Richard) Leland, of Spokane, WA, Debra Henle, of Mt. Pleasant, Karen Musgrave, of Toledo, and Jody (Lance) Horbach, of Montezuma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Moore; her parents, Jim Black and Betty Jean Black Stephenson; step-father, Steve Stephenson; brothers-in-law, Ron Henle and Don Musgrave.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sunny Hill Care Center for the “great care” Linda received there.
A memorial fund will be established.
