Burtis “Randy” Bible

TAMA-Burtis “Randy” Bible, 64, of Tama, passed away, Monday, July 8, 2024 at home due to a sudden illness. Services will be held at a later date in Hitchita, Oklahoma.
Burtis was born on November 11, 1959, in Claremore, OK, the son of Burtis Wilmot and Norma Jean (Sampson) Bible.
He graduated from Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah, OK. After high school, Randy worked at McKissick in North Tulsa, OK for several years. He played basketball and traveled to many tournaments and loved his Oklahoma Sooners football and basketball. He also enjoyed playing Dominos, watching car auction shows on TV and listening to R&B music. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Davenport of Tama; son, Dason Holmes of Tahlequah, OK; stepson, Dawson Davenport of Tama; eight step-grandchildren, Miles, Aaliyah, Waseaka, AnnaLeigh, Howard, Annelle, Dawson Jr., and Theodore Davenport; sisters, Teresa “Teeda” Bible of Stillwater, OK and Alexis Bible Crosley of Bristow, OK; brothers, Dale Bible of Okmulgee, OK, Norman (Cindy) Daniel of Muskogee, OK, Sammy Lee Bass of Tulsa, OK, and Joseph (Delaina)Bass of Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Curtis and Lois Davenport; grandparents, Wiley Sampson and Mabel Hill; brother, Monte Bass; sisters, Tisanina “Gena” Bass Wesely, and Belinda Bible; uncle, Will Sampson; and aunt Vena Mae Randall.
Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
