Rhonda Waseskuk

TAMA-Rhonda Sue Waseskuk, 64, of Tama, passed away, Friday, August 16, 2024 at her home in rural Tama. A Traditional Wake will be held Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement. A Traditional Graveside Service will be held Monday, August 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Meskwaki Cemetery.
Rhonda was born on July 27, 1960, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Gaston and Edna (Youngbear) Keahna Sr.
She graduated from South Tama High School.
She married Bruce Waseskuk in August of 2012 at the Meskwaki Powwow grounds in rural Tama. Rhonda loved Powwows and dancing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughter, Mariana.
Survivors include sons, Lauterio Corral of Tama, and Ren Corral of Tama; daughter, Elora Contreras of Tama; granddaughter, Mariana Benson; siblings, Sidney (Aldene) Keahna of Tama, Carma (Mike) Wanatee of Tama, Rochelle Keahna of Oklahoma City, OK, Rick (Jane) Keahna Sr. of Tama, and Verlyn (Marsha) Keahna of Tama; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Bruce; her sister, Theresa Keahna, her brother, Gaston Keahna Jr.; her niece, Kristin Hernandez; and grandnephews, Marcos and Cesar Hernandez.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.
