Barbara Daniel
TAMA-Barbara Lynn Daniel, 82, of Tama, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. It was her wish to be cremated and there is a Celebration of Life tentatively scheduled for Mother’s Day in 2025.
Barbara was born on July 11, 1942, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Lynn and Vera (Knode) Mast.
On July 16, 1960, she was united in marriage to Terry Daniel in Grundy Center, Iowa. Barbara worked at Fisher Controls in Marshalltown where she held several positions over the years. She and Terry both retired from there. She was a member of the Central Iowa Coon Hunters Association and was on the Board of Directors of the Treeing Walker Coonhound Association. Barbara was very active in driving her husband Terry around the country to all of his coon hunting competitions. She was just as deserving of any awards that he achieved in his devotion to the sport.
Survivors include two children, Curtis Daniel of Severance, CO, and Sherry Daniel of Tama; four grandchildren, Meshell Daniel, Seth Daniel, Taylor (Tyler) Natrisciano, and Jarrod (Katie) Daniel; great-grandson, Allias Bear-Daniel; and great-granddaughter, Harper Natrisciano; two brothers, Wayne Mast of Marshalltown and Darwyn (Jane) Mast of State Center; one sister, Nancy (David) Heng of Marshalltown; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Terry on January 8, 2019; and sister-in-law, Arlys Mast.
A memorial fund will be established.
