Shannon Zigler Dobbs

CEDAR FALLS-Shannon Lyn Zigler Dobbs, 55, of Cedar Falls and formerly of Tama, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 at UnityPoint Health-Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will be held at a future date at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 10:00-11:30 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Shannon was born on August 7, 1969, in Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of Gary and Patricia (Lenhart) Zigler.

She graduated from STC High School in 1987 and went to beauty school in Marshalltown. Shannon formerly worked at the Meskwaki Bingo & Casino and sold Scentsy. She loved taking care of her grandchildren. Shannon was a huge bargain shopper and her home was always home to any plant where she would nurture them. She enjoyed the ocean and always wanted to move to Florida. Her family held the highest priority in her life.

Survivors include her children, Kaisha Wanatee (Victor Pesina Jr.) of Waterloo, Kailyn Struve of Chelsea, Kelbie Struve (Rachelle McDonald) of Tama, and Kenzen Dobbs of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Mythias Pesina-Wanatee, Kaisyn Struve, and Beckham McDonald; parents, Gary and Patty Zigler of Tama; siblings, Shace (Diego) Zigler of Lake Elmo, MN, and Sharissa Wolf of Tama; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents; daughter, Keagan Dobbs; two brothers, Shawn Zigler and Shain Zigler; and nephew, Kyaus Davenport.
