Dallas Haas

TOLEDO-Dallas Dean Haas, 82, of Toledo, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Premier Estates of Toledo. A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 AM, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Reformed Baptist Church in Tama. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Vining, Iowa.

Dallas was born on February 18, 1942, in Elberon, Iowa, to the late John and Mildred (Struve) Haas. He attended schools in Keystone and Tama. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. After serving, Dallas went to work for the Tama Paper Mill, where he dedicated over 30 years before retiring.

Dallas was a private person, but always enjoyed the time spent with his family. He liked to fish and watch TV. He also enjoyed fast cars and attending the Indianapolis 500. Dallas loved animals, especially his cats. He recently started to know the Lord and attended church regularly.

He is survived by his sisters, Brenda Haas of Michigan and Dixie Braden of Texas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dallas was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Virgil Haas and half-sister, Caroline Struve.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Dallas Haas.

Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
