I first met Mark when I joined the MPACT team as a community advocate. Mark taught me how to look at mental health from different perspectives and how to address a crisis in an effective manner. Mark is such a great advocate for mental health and public emergency services. He supports local EMS services and would strive to have a fully funded department that has the resources to serve their community in need. Mark has also identified the disconnect between the public and their appointed officials. This has been an ongoing problem in all levels of government in all areas of the country. Identifying is the 1st step and I believe Mark to be true to his word on increasing transparency and giving the power to comment and debate, back to the tax paying public in which he is employed.
