A Fair View

Bill Faircloth.
Just want to get this out to the public: Unless those who have contracts with Salt Creek Wind and residents who are OK with turbine development start coming to the Board of Supervisors meetings, TCAT (Tama County Against Turbines) and this board are going to DICTATE what farmers can do with their land. This is totally wrong. I have had some say they just don’t want to deal with TCAT, but that is not the answer. What surprises me is that a small group of farmers are some of the ones in on this nonsense of control. None of this board even farms, so why should they get to tell you what to do? The Board continues to talk about the litigation related to turbines costing so much, but they brought this on themselves. They are trying to blame Salt Creek, but it is all this board. This is a board that has let their position go to their heads and won’t listen to anyone, they want total control.
On another note, the Supervisors think getting rid of the Safety Director is a good idea, but creating that position helped save us in fines when we had a serious injury in the County. Some of the things they try to justify are ridiculous. Just because other counties don’t have a Safety Director doesn’t mean it is a bad thing. But I guess Tama County needs to be a follower, not a LEADER!
