A Fair View

Bill Faircloth.
Well, it is Monday April 21. Our great Tama County Board of Supervisors just proved Tama County citizens are not in their best interest. Zoning Administrator Bob Vokoun was on the agenda today and ended up giving his notice of resignation effective May 1, 2025. Our wonderful Board accepted his resignation but made it effective immediately, so if you are in need of a permit, you will just have to wait. Bob wanted in the worst way to help the new hire (whoever it turns out to be) but the Board wanted nothing to do with that.
This just goes to prove, if the Board doesn’t like you, you will be gone. TCAT (Tama County Against Turbines) got their way again because they never wanted Bob for Zoning in the first place. If you tell the Board they can’t do something because it is against Code, they don’t care, Code doesn’t really matter to them. They will tell you it does matter but that is just to make it look good. THEY ARE NOT TRANSPARENT!
